Peer Review Process
Alburuj: Journal of Education and Islamic Science employs a Double-Blind Peer Review mechanism to ensure the objectivity and scholarly quality of every published article. Under this policy, the identities of both the Authors and the Reviewers remain confidential from each other throughout the entire review process.
Submitted manuscripts are first inspected by the Managing Editor to evaluate compliance with the journal's focus and scope, adherence to author guidelines, and similarity index via Turnitin (maximum allowed is 20%). Manuscripts failing to meet these baseline technical criteria are either rejected (Desk Reject) or returned to the author for initial adjustments.
Manuscripts passing the desk review are assigned to at least two independent Reviewers possessing relevant expertise in the subject matter.
Reviewers assess the manuscript based on specific academic criteria: originality (novelty), methodological rigor, depth of discussion, theoretical or practical contribution, and the quality of citations. The review period assigned to Reviewers is 2 to 4 weeks.
Based on the feedback and recommendations provided by the Reviewers, the Editorial Board makes one of the following decisions:
*Accept Submission: The manuscript is accepted as is without changes.
*Revisions Required: The manuscript is accepted pending minor revisions.
*Resubmit for Review: The manuscript requires major revisions and must undergo a second round of peer review.
*Decline Submission: The manuscript is rejected due to fundamental substantive or methodological flaws.
Authors are granted 1 to 2 weeks to complete the required revisions alongside a detailed Response to Reviewers matrix.
The Editor-in-Chief issues the final decision (Final Acceptance) once the revised version meets all academic standards set by the Editors and Reviewers.
