Digital Archiving

Alburuj: Journal of Education and Islamic Science is committed to the long-term preservation and permanent accessibility of all published scholarly research. To ensure that published content remains continuously available to academics, researchers, and the public, the journal utilizes the following digital archiving policies and systems:

1. PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN):

The journal utilizes the Public Knowledge Project Preservation Network (PKP PN) to automatically deposit published content into a decentralized preservation system. PKP PN provides free preservation services for OJS journals, ensuring long-term digital archiving via the LOCKSS network.

2. LOCKSS and CLOCKSS Systems:

This journal uses the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) and CLOCKSS (Controlled Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) systems to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries. These systems allow libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.

3. Self-Archiving or Repository Policy:

Authors are permitted and encouraged to deposit all versions of their articles (Submitted Version, Accepted Version, and Published Version/PDF) in institutional repositories, subject-based repositories, or personal websites (e.g., ResearchGate, Academia.edu, Google Scholar) without embargo, provided that proper attribution and full bibliographic details acknowledging its publication in this journal are supplied.

4. Database & Indexing Archiving:

In addition to repository systems, full-text articles and metadata are preserved across indexed academic databases, national libraries (e.g., Indonesia OneSearch, Garuda), and permanent digital object identifiers (DOIs) managed via Crossref.
